At OakMUN, we believe in discussing issues pertinent to today’s rapidly changing global scenario. UNCCC helps us in achieving this and brings to you a committee never simulated before. Based on the Budapest Convention, the UNCCC is a treaty that deals in particular with issues of the modern world. Covering areas such as child pornography, copyright infringement, online espionage, and a spectrum of others, the committee based on the UNCCC is sure to have heated debate.

Ram Sethuraman

Ram Sethuraman is currently pursuing his Bachelors of Technology in Computer Science at SRM University, Chennai. He has been MUNing for 3 years now, both as a delegate and as a member of the EB at various conferences across the nation. He believes that MUNs are a great platform to develop one’s personality, and asserts that they have not only helped him become a good speaker, but also a better individual, as they are a place to meet like minded people and make everlasting memories. Thus, he will strive to make sure that every delegate in his committee continues to attend more MUNs by giving them a unique and memorable experience in this conference.
Apart from MUNs, he an extrovert by heart who loves sports, movies and hanging out. He states that it is an honour for him to be serving as the Director of UNCCC, a committee which has never been simulated before. He is looking forward to the conference and a new experience alongside.

Avinash Kotval

Avinash Kotval, who just finished 10th Grade at CHIREC International School, commenced his journey through the world of Model UN 3 years ago. Since then, he has attended numerous conferences, both nationally and internationally. He started off as a shy kid, afraid to speak in front of a crowd, and MUNs have helped him change. Apart from participating in MUNs, he enjoys debating and is a Bibliophile. He reads almost anything he can lay his hands on. He’s extremely delighted to serve as the Assistant Director of the UNCCC, and promises to make this committee as exciting and engaging as possible, whilst ensuring this will be a learning experience for you all.
